Spring has arrived, and so have the year’s first amazing new releases! We are BEYOND excited for all of the amazing reads coming from Simon Teen this year, so stay tuned for even more glowing recommendations from our team, coming soon!

I must admit that I was a bit late to reading Powerless (I only picked it up two months ago), but once I was in, I was IN. I absolutely devoured the series and with the way Reckless ended… I have simply been waiting to know what Paedyn does next! Ever since the cover reveal, I know we have all been tormented by the question mark at the end of ‘destined for each other’. Even though I’m sure I know who I would pick, is Paedyn’s decision that simple? Who will she end up with: Kitt? Or Kai?

Love at Second Sight has everything you need in a paranormal teen novel: a compelling murder mystery, loveable characters, an adorable queer romance, werewolves and fae and magic, and so much more! Main character, Cam, is a normal kid with a witch best friend and a werewolf crush. He wants to spend his sophomore year flying under the radar, but then Cam develops psychic powers and, in a vision, witnesses a gruesome murder of a teen girl he doesn’t know. Can he, his friends, and his crush stop the murder before it happens?

All Better Now is somehow the first Neal Shusterman book that I’ve read. After devouring it, I immediately (finally) read Scythe—and can confirm that both books will give you ALL the feels! All Better Now is a dystopian thriller that’s reminiscent of Station Eleven from Emily St. John Mandel, The Electric Kingdom from David Arnold, and also The Last of Us (minus the zombies!). I fell in love with the book’s multi-POV structure that follows different characters who must cope in a near-future version of our world where happiness becomes medically contagious, including one teen who is infected and another teen who isn’t. It’s Neal Shusterman at his best and provides a thought-provoking exploration of humanity’s future, so if you loved the Arc of a Scythe series, All Better Now should be your next read!

Ever since the cliffhanger at the end of Bloodmarked, I’ve waited not-so-patiently to find out what’s going to happen to my girl Bree now that she’s left her friends and loved ones behind to work with a very questionable ally. The Round Table is fractured, Sel’s gone, and Nick … well, Nick has his own secrets. This book is going to BLOW everyone’s mind. Tracy Deonn, you’re responsible for my therapy bills!!!

A stunning conclusion to a dark academia series with real and terrifying stakes –Scott Reintgen’s bestselling series ends with a bang (literally)! With a magical plague sweeping their world, these characters will have to reckon with the consequences of their big political moves, and a big bad that all of them underestimated. When devastation crashes through everything they’ve built, will they be able to imagine a future for Kathor?

If you're a sucker for a swoony romcom (and honestly, who isn't?) then Solving for the Unknown should be on your 2025 TBR! This sweet, adorable read follows Vietnamese Americans Viet and Evie as they juggle family, friends, and school as they forge their own path in between college classes and falling in love. Plus, it's the companion to fan-favorite A Pho Love Story, and the amazing food in this read will make you just as hungry as the first book!
