Tracy Deonn
Tracy Deonn grew up on a steady diet of animation, fanfiction, and science fi and fantasy TV shows. Now, she spends her waking hours writing her own genre-crossing stories—and dreaming of magic systems that will create maximumdrama between her characters. Her favorite stories feature angry girls with vulnerable hearts, anime characters with fangs, and good people making hard/terrible choices. Tracy has a The Neverending Story tattoo (the Auryn from the movie, not the book), two dogs named after DC characters (Raven and Harley–even though she was raised in a Marvel household) and she will try anything and everything ginger-flavored. My favorite childhood book was Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede.
2. What is your favorite scene you've ever written?
My favorite scene I’ve ever written…changes depending on what I’m writing at the moment! But I think it’s the memory walk at the end of Legendborn.
3. What question do you wish readers asked you more?
My readers ask truly great questions, and I’d love to hear more questions about the research process behind The Legendborn Cycle - I could talk about this for hours!
