We’re looking forward to a TON of amazing books that are coming out in 2024! There are so many more that we could add to this list, but we had to ask everyone to pick just one read to recommend. Check out this list of all the upcoming books we can’t for you to read this year, and be sure to add them all to your TBR.
Out 5/28!
If you're looking for a read that will rip your heart out and blindside you (in the best way), Robbie Couch's latest book is IT. Another First Chance will take you on a journey through first love, tragedy, a (possibly sinister) research study called the Affinity Trials, and make you reevaluate just how much you'd do for a fresh start with the one you love.

Out 10/1!
The holidays might seem like they're ages away, but this swoony sapphic holiday romcom from married duo Alyson Derrick and Rachael Lippincott is worth the wait! After the falling head over heels for the last book Alyson and Racahel wrote together, fan-favorite She Gets the Girl, I was thrilled to hear that they were teaming up again to bring us another adorable romance. I can't wait for you to read all about Arden and Caroline's holiday hijinks. I mean... twelve fake holidates?! Sign me up!!

I and MANY other readers have been at the edge of our seats waiting for this sequel! After the epic conclusion of Powerless, Paedyn and Kai’s journey is filled with even more twists and turns than ever before. Will duty or desire win in the end?! If July feels too far away, Powerful, a novella in the same universe coming out this Spring should satiate at least a little part of our curiosity—plus it comes with a special extended Reckless teaser!

Out in Fall 2024!
Curious Tides by Pascale Lacelle was an amazing debut with a unique magic system, a dark atmosphere, and a tragic mystery. I’m so excited to see Pascale expand this world as Emory, Baz, Romie, and Kai uncover more answers to the mystery surrounding The Song of the Drowned Gods. I can already tell that Stranger Skies is going to be a book that will pull you under its spell and drown out the world around you as you dive deeper into its lore.

Out 6/11!
Love, Off the Record might go down in history as the book I gush about most! I read this DELIGHTFUL enemies-to-lovers romcom in one sitting, and quite literally couldn't put it down (even though I absolutely should've been sleeping instead of reading). Wynn and Three both have big goals and a lot to prove as freshmen staffers on their university newspaper, and when a rare reporter spot opens up unexpectedly, chaos ensues. Who will win the game of sabotage that pushes them to do their worst, and more importantly, will these two ever face their real feelings for each other?! If you're a fan of Lynn Painter, Rachel Lynn Solomon, or simply love a swoony, hilarious romcom (and who doesn't?) this book is 100% a must read!

Out 4/2!
Otherworldly is a like a warm hug on a (very) chilly night. This cozy fantasy takes place in a region that has been stuck in winter for the past five years, destroying the livelihood of many farmers, including main character Ellery's family.
To help alleviate their family's financial situation, Ellery moves to the big city with their cousin to work at a diner, where they first meet Knox. Together, Ellery and Knox must figure out how to end the forever winter, while a sweet romance buds. Otherworldly has nonbinary rep, a swoonworthy queer romance, and fun magical characters. Cozy and heartwarming, this is a must-read this April!

Out 2/27!
I will never stop yelling about how much I love this book!! Where the Dark Stands Still has a little of everything you want in a book: the whimsy of Howl’s Moving Castle, the (less-steamy but still heart-pounding) romance of ACOTAR, the cursed wood and amazing worldbuilding of Uprooted, and the beautiful but deadly magical setting of An Enchantment of Ravens. If you like fantasy, Where the Dark Stands Still is a must-read!

Out 7/30!
The Blonde Dies first is the perfect blend of Scream Queens, Scream (1996), Scary Movie (the first two), and The Blackening; equal parts horror and hilarity that makes for an electrically good time.
When Devon heads to her twin sister Drew’s graduation party with their circle of child good friends in tow, Devon expects a eye-rolling, but laughable night in bougie, gentrified Brooklyn. However, the party from bad to worse when Drew’s upper crust private school friends decide to play with fire in the form of a Ouija board. Suddenly, the twins and their friends are followed by an entity who seems hell-bent on killing them, and with her Blonde braids, Devon is afraid –– because everyone knows the blonde always dies first.
I finished this book in one sitting and loved Joelle’s fresh take on old tropes and horror stereotypes while also exploring gentrification, found family, and the queer experience!

Out 3/5!
Hollis’s boyfriend won’t let her play tabletop role-playing game Secrets & Sorcery with his friends, so she joins a gaming group of vibrant, funny, and supportive girls. And for the first time, she starts to feel like herself. Plus, her sweet, slow-burn romance with a fellow player had me giggling and kicking my feet. Empowering, earnest, witty, and full of first-queer-crush yearning—this read is perfect for fans of Heartstopper!
-Caroline
Out 2/27!
If you like thrillers with mind-bending paranormal twists, Liselle Sambury is a must-read author, which is why I’m so excited for Tender Beasts. Sunny is trying to maintain her wealthy family’s picture-perfect façade after the death of her mother. But when her estranged brother Dom – newly released from juvie – is accused of murdering one of her classmates, Sunny has to discover the truths, and the monsters, her family has worked so hard to bury. This book combines chilling suspense with thoughtful commentary on race, class, and who gets to presume innocence, in an unforgettable psychological thriller.

Out 6/4!
Rachel Lynn Solomon is back with a romantic, dual POV sequel for anyone who wanted more of Rowan and Neil, which – let’s face it – is basically everyone and especially me. In Today Tonight Tomorrow, Rowan and Neil fell in love on the last day of high school, but now, summer is over and our favorite academic rivals-to-lovers couple is faced with a long-distance relationship during their first year of college. This is a can’t-miss romance for readers who like a dash of angst with their swoon!

Out 5/7!
Prepare to swoon at the latest addition to Morgan Matson’s classic summer rom-com lineup! Stranded at a rundown bus station on the way home from a music festival, Darcy has the cinematic meet-cute she’s been dreaming of when she locks eyes with Russell. As they explore a historical town in the middle of nowhere, picnic on a football field under the sunset, and chase after an escape-artist dog, they are led to wonder how well can you know someone after a day and whether an instant connection can ever last. Even if you don’t believe in love at first sight, it will take just one read for you to fall for Darcy and Russell.
